Hello,

My name is Stephanie, and I am an image maker based in Belgium. I live in Herentals and work as a member of the communication team for the Flemish Government in Brussels. In Herentals, I am also the community manager at MOKTAMEE, a creative hub that fosters collaboration and artistic growth.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my son and exploring creativity in different forms beyond photography and collage. Whether I’m attending cultural events, traveling the world from my rooftop tent, or connecting with friends, I find inspiration in all these experiences.

I've gave it a lot of thought whether I’m a photographer or an artist and I find myself comfortable in the description of an image maker. For me, composing an image is about recognizing the individual elements and crafting a relationship between them, elevating their significance and imbuing the composition with deeper meaning. I aim to create images that resonate with viewers who take the time to look closer, revealing intricate details and hidden layers. This connection might emerge through abstract compositions, conceptual approaches, intense expressions, or the juxtaposition of my personal reflections within self-portraits. Sometimes, it’s simply about capturing the light that instantly transforms and empowers a subject.
